Life’s whereabouts

Drowsy eyes and magnetic eyelids of midnight,
Plan for the next day, alarm set right.
Seven hours of sailing in blanket’s warm lake,
Wakes childish demand, few more minutes at stake,
Night’s spell ends and remnant time scarce,
Run, run to work, dust away the stars.
Breath-taking speed, leaps and strides,
Lends us to destination after prolong rides.
Mind swings and skates in an icy ground,
Silence leads to the wonder-land, in reality never found.
Day’s chores end, black blanket unfold,
Time’s speedy flight goes on untold.
To lands unimagined, roads new,

Attire of memories is all we sew.

Vacant House of Mine

Vacant house of mine, in meditation,
Scant of sounds and noise, in search of vegetation.
Single me, can’t adorn well the rooms,
Least desire to do so, in dreaming heart blooms.

Some tinkling of bells does resound,
Smell of deliciousness from downstairs roams around.
Pigeons frequently visit, with a friend’s love and care,
To share togetherness, loneliness to impair.

Books often seem my pillow, or lie adjacent,
Aiding emergence of thoughts, nascent,
The food, yeah, which I cook,
Perplexed and scared, at the experimenter, it looks.

Both the sun and the moon, peep through the window,
Responding to my gaze, which they owe,
Oft, at eve, the tunes of life and pain are played,
Old colours paint memories, half blurred, half faded.

Craves heart to take on different safe roads,
Devoid of fear, pain, betrayal, aching loads.
Where love be the language, care the currency,
And thousand hands to help in emergency.

Why the four walls of my house dearer than worldly ways,
Why boring silence seems better than scary worldly chase.
Am I bound to some invisible thread, I know not,
In vacant house of mine, waiting for sky’s dot.

Yet my efforts never tire,
I bravely dream and desire.
Like a solitary lass dwelling in a sky-touching abode,
To the sky of dreams, busy in constructing the road.

It all passes in time..

It all passes in time,
Life jumps and catches new rhyme.

Sweet childhood days, pals of the lovely lane,
Games amazing played, give sweet pain.
Glimpse from today’s window, old carefree days, gentle nights,
Blown with the wind, all past delights.

It all passes in time,
Life jumps and catches new rhyme.

School days adventurous, good friends around,
Unawareness about pain, solitude to surround.
Fights, tears dropped, sweet reconciliation,
Honest togetherness, honey dissolved, comic affiliation.

It all passes in time,
Life jumps and catches new rhyme.

Departure time approaches, changes come along, heavy to breathe,
Eyelashes give freedom to inhabitants underneath.
Roads change, friends change, and tracks get adorned in new apparel,
Yet life moves on, after a warm farewell.

It all passes in time,
Life jumps and catches new rhyme.

Love happens, pain follows, and moments of peace, ache too,
Life winks and smiles, mysteries woo.
Some crashes, accidents along with, paint life with true colours,
We leave and move on, with precious experiences of valour.

It all passes in time,
Life jumps and catches new rhyme.

Parenthood, old age, and final departure arrives,
To test you, teach you, how to smile and survive.
Faith in Allah, belief in heart,
Keep you smiling, with sweetness from the start.

Journey of life...

Journey of life, tiresome oft,
Acquires solace in nature’s lap, soft.
Revives the soul in green, new hopes sprout,
Gushing stream of emotions, convey what’s life all about.

Nature providing refuge from every day’s hustle bustle,
Exploring vividly our existence, green leaves murmur and rustle.
Ants at work, one behind the other, long train,
Ant-hood respectable, moving around without constrain.

Some passing moments fade away, like dead leaves, crispy, dry,
Yet bring forth numerous moments to cherish, dream and try.
Some rocks hinder our movement, and we know not,
How they purify, glorify us and our thoughts.

When life’s path seem strange to go on,
Try barefoot, and with zeal be gone.
True beauty resides in leisure, of pleasure,
Like the deep evening sky, azure.

Short poem on Friendship

From d time of milk teeth to old age,
A relation that cheers life's every stage,
We call it friendship, a ship for life's journey,
Sharing and caring, little 'I' and more 'we'..

Some friends we meet, lovingly greet,
But in course of time, we retreat,
We may choose distinct paths, yet hearts remain close,
The best thing in the world, is indeed the true friend you chose....

A poor child, begging...

She was begging for money,
Silvery eyes, fountain of gloom,
Alone in a roadways bus,
Who cares, her heart's depth, life's fuss?

Little girl, barely seven years,
Perplexed by life and some deep fears,
In God's name she begged money,
Deprived of a normal child's life, sweetness of honey.

Her dry hairs scattered, as if any broken mirror by stone,
Sad, pathetic, thin, energy deficient every bone,
Spoke out her requests in a monotonous, learnt-by-heart way,
As if any tyrant behind, forced her to say.

Feared I to look at her, awful reality to accept,
Reading the miseries written on her eyes, even a stone would have wept,
Thoughts came, may be she was treated badly,
Heart craved to give her a toffee, let a child enjoy it gladly.

But the pocket was empty of any sweet,
A coin was given sadly, not something to eat,
Kids of her age, swimming on adventure's pool,
Was she even aware of what is a school?

The scattered locks of hairs, showed her mom's absence,
Hopelessness, agony, made everything dense,
Oh, most pathetic sight that could ever be seen,
Her right hand was burnt, scary, what it might have been.

Terror came in heart, widespread like a dark night,
Not a silver line to find, silence accompanied with fright,
Just one wish, just one query to ask,
'Who did it? just tell, it was which brute's task?'

Why was it done, may be because she was a girl child,
Does it makes others certified to be wild?
Oh, this world, will it never change?
Can goodness go widespread beyond its confined range?

A Day's Tale

Ah! Another morning arrived,

Get up, o silent soul,
Life’s battle, only brave ones survived,
Open thine eyes, pursue thy goals.

Finally ready for college,
Say goodbye and explore,
The world of fun and knowledge,
Enter it, open the door!

The long journey, begin it fast,
Be quick and careful, but never be in haste.
See the birds soaring above,
Smile my friend, smile with love.

Take auto, then walk, then change metro thrice,
What to say, it’s a better life’s price.
Don’t stop, keep going ahead,
The golden path towards dreams has to be tread.

Finally heartbeats catch a new rhyme,
Entering the college, passes smoothly the time.
Knowledge hugs lovingly, heart fills with delight,
Life attains a shine, soul feels the silver light.

Treading college lanes, enjoying time, smiling,
Book of happiness, with life’s new story, compiling.
Sweet tunes of tension free days humming in ears,
Feeling great, life has deserted fears.

Trees looking greener than ever before,
Something about them, i do adore.
Every flying dragonfly and dove,
Add to my life, lots of love.

Looking at my world, with visions widespread,
Exploring things, long complex path to be tread.
Missing mom’s smile, dad’s advice,
In every new person, looking for something nice.

Appreciating each soul, trying to improve,
Driving life’s new vehicle, leaving groove.
Smiling, very often, to reduce and forget pain,
Being a responsible person, sane.

Talking with oneself quite a lot,
Finding solace, in every new thought.
Adding to life, colors bright,
Allowing heart for a happy flight.

Then journey back to home, got over each class,
Eyes still with shine, smiles this lass.
Walking quite long, chatting with friends,
Treading the path with lots of bends.

Again walking fast enough, changing metro thrice,
Getting seat would be a good surprise.
Then taking auto, reaching nearer to destination,
Finally walking a bit, reaching home with a winning warrior’s sensation.

A day’s tale over, yet certain things remaining,
To whom to complain, oh, my leg is paining.
Tired, pretty enough, o my warrior take rest,
Consoling the soul, flattering ‘thou art the best’.

Anger, often uninvited, ready to arrive,
Ah, this sad soul, wonders how to survive.
Little pain, ache, little fun, felicity,
These contents make life really pretty.

No more left to say, night arrives, soul feels drowsy,
All that remains is dream, sweet dream to see.
