Life’s Shades

Marks are chased,
Like a lion at its prey,
When we are but mortals,
Crafted from clay.

The hankering for success,
Exceeds all bounds,
When its but satisfaction,
Glowing in the eyes around.

Happiness is every wish,
How easily acquired,
Sharing few dates heartily,
Robe of charity attired.

Materialistic cravings lured,
Infinite weak warriors,
While noble riders went on,
To break ego barriers.

Some moved around in panic,
With evaporated hopes,
While His mercy is near,
With elevated hopes.

Befriending justice best act,
One sleeps soundly when fair,
Rights are for all and duties,
When the true faith dawns everywhere.
